Hello,
First of all, congratulations on your launch! Overall the product you have produced is reasonably good. However, there are a few suggestions that I have on how you could take things to the next level.
A ‘session title’ feature where you can break up the session with a title at the top e.g. ‘Full Body Session’ or throughout the session e.g. ‘Warm Up’, ‘Plyometrics’, ‘Strength’, ‘Accessories’.
Ability to separate athlete and group calendars when viewing programs. As a coach at a gym with over 15 coaches, it already looks rather messy when viewing programs. Teambuildr have a system where calendars can be assigned to groups of athletes such as a sport team. They then have individual calendars for each athlete. When these are separated, it looks a lot cleaner on the back end. Filter: view program → calendar (list of all) or view athlete
Expanding on the last point, having a parent calendar option would be extremely helpful. For example, at my gym (PEAQ) we have a junior athlete academy. The athletes are allocated an individual calendar/program based on their specific needs and abilities. However, they are also all allocated to a parent calendar (e.g. Academy) which allows me to program their testing day in one program that can be assigned to all of them, rather than assigning it to each individual program. For example, this may look like: Academy (Parent Calendar) - Basketball Program, Football Program, etc. Essentially, they are assigned to two calendars at once.
Add an option to add as many reps as possible i.e. AMAP. Add the time equivalent as well i.e. ALAP.
It may be worth separating exercises when writing a program - have a strength section, conditioning, speed/agility, mobility, etc. This looks cleaner than one very long list of exercises.
Allow athletes to be assigned to groups. E.g. ‘Jack’s Client's’, ‘Academy’, etc. This is helpful because I can quickly filter for the relevant athletes to me and check if they have a program, rather than searching through all athletes in the database (which could be over 1000).
Given this is a testing period, the product is performing quite well. If feedback is taken on board, then this can be an exception product. I am still navigating the website and learning how to do certain things, so I apologise if any of the features I requested are already available.
